Story setup
The oldest game here gets the shortest route to players. Warcraft III: Reforged’s Forsaken Kingdom launched with update 3.0, and Blizzard calls it the first new Warcraft III story in more than 23 years. Its campaign returns to the fall of Lordaeron and the Undercity. This is new authored campaign work, not a restoration announcement.
After the trailer
The gameplay footage brings Lordaeron, the Undercity and strategy encounters into view. Blizzard also outlined a new graphics mode and World Editor changes in its panel recap. For a game this old, a fresh campaign is the concrete part of the pitch.
