Story setup

A darker reset follows in Sanctuary. Diablo V is planned for spring 2029, and Blizzard’s premise starts after Diablo has already won. The named central figure is the Heir to Westmarch, travelling with a survivor caravan. Blizzard also named Demon Hunter, Monk and the new Plague Knight. The teaser stays with mood rather than combat detail.

After the trailer

The teaser offers a brief look at the announced world’s ruined atmosphere, then gets out of the way. Its images do not show gameplay, classes or the caravan in action, so those remain written promises from Blizzard’s panel recap.
