Story setup
War in the North is back. Aspyr’s Legacy Edition brings the 2011 action RPG to PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Switch and PC for $19.99. Its attraction was never a sprawling version of Middle-earth. It was a focused campaign built around three heroes fighting together, online or locally. This is the original adventure restored for current hardware, not a new story. Here is the launch trailer.
After the trailer
The footage gets straight to the point: swords, axes, magic and three characters sharing the fight. That co-op structure is still the clearest reason to return. The Legacy Edition is available now, except on the European Switch eShop, where it arrives on August 18. It is a modest comeback, but a welcome one for anyone who missed this particular corner of Middle-earth.
