Story setup
over the hill comes to PC on October 14, with PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2 versions planned for 2027. It is a slower kind of driving game from Funselektor: solo or co-op for up to three friends, crossing rough ground with winches, planks, changing weather and deforming terrain. The pleasure seems to be in choosing a route, getting stuck and helping each other out. Here is the release-date trailer.
After the trailer
Small vehicles and enormous landscapes give over the hill an immediately relaxed feel, although the terrain looks ready to ruin any easy journey. Portals, photo mode and changing time of day add variety, but the co-op problem-solving is the part that stands out. It looks less like a race and more like a road trip where getting stranded is half the story.
