Story setup
Ten years after launch, No Man’s Sky is still receiving major free updates. Hello Games says there have now been forty, and its anniversary trailer races through that history before revealing the name of the next one: Cosmos. We don’t know yet what Cosmos adds or when it will arrive. For now, here is a reminder of just how much this game has changed.

Watching those updates arrive year by year makes the scale of the rebuild hard to miss. No Man’s Sky moved far beyond the version released in 2016, and Hello Games is still not finished. Cosmos is next; the details can come when the studio is ready to show them.
