Story setup

Big Walk sold more than one million copies in its first six days, according to publisher Panic. That is a huge opening for House House’s cooperative game, which asks groups to explore an island, communicate and turn basic movement into a shared comedy routine. The number tells us it found an audience quickly. It does not tell us revenue, refunds or how long those groups will keep playing, and Panic has not provided that detail. Here is why so many people wanted to try it.

After the trailer

The appeal is easy to read: friends climbing, pointing and making simple jobs much harder for one another. Big Walk launched on August 4 for PS5, Switch 2, Steam and Epic Games Store. It has found its first crowd. The longer-term question is whether those groups arrange a second walk.
