Story setup
REANIMAL’s first DLC, The Prisoner, has a clear idea: a second route rather than more rooms. The Soldier and Prisoner cross unseen war-ravaged areas beside the main story. THQ Nordic says this is the opening chapter in a three-part arc. Gematsu reports solo and cooperative play, a $9.99 price and Friend’s Pass access when one player owns the DLC. That preserves the paired survival setup. Watch how often the two characters need one another through these spaces.
After the trailer
The pair remain the centre of the footage, crossing damaged interiors and exposed ruins together. Their route has a different texture from a simple return trip, with war damage applying its own pressure to the familiar dread. That gives the add-on a sharper job than touring familiar scenery: show the same world from different bodies without pretending the original protagonists disappeared. The Prisoner is only the first of three chapters, so this launch cannot answer whether the new characters earn a complete arc. It does establish the terms: one purchase can bring a Friend’s Pass partner, and the chapter works alone or cooperatively. Its length and dramatic weight still need judging from the game, not the trailer. At least that judgement can begin now. Zoe, show us what Goldman draws by hand.
