Story setup
Marvel Tōkon enters launch week with the kind of surface confidence Marvel fighters usually get for free: famous faces, violent colour and Arc System Works animation doing most of the selling. The harder question is much less glamorous. Will the PC version arrive in working order? PlayStation says Fighting Souls launches August 6 on PS5 and PC. PC Gamer reports its Steam beta peaked at 33,233 players, but that same test drew stutter and frame-rate complaints. Arc System Works said it planned day-one improvements. That is encouraging, not proof. A busy beta can show genuine appetite while also exposing the exact friction that turns a launch into a support queue. The trailer sells speed. Launch week has to sell trust. Here is the launch clip.
After the trailer
Those rapid swaps and oversized attacks make the team format immediately legible. The visual density is the point, but it also makes clean performance a practical requirement, especially when players need to read tags and attacks quickly. PlayStation presents this as a fast, stylized team fighter for PS5 and PC. The reasonable read is that its beta audience gives it a real opening, provided the promised PC work lands rather than merely appearing in patch notes. Adam, over to a smaller game making its combat proposition much plainer.
